General information about NBCNS Research Meetings


The NBCNS Research Meeting is a yearly translational research meeting focusing on neuroblastoma and pediatric brain tumors. The meetings aim to be interactive and to provide a meeting point for researchers working within a clinical or preclinical setting, neuroblastoma and CNS research and between young and experienced researchers. The meetings usually attract 100-200 participants including both basic researchers and clinical investigators from all of Sweden. The location of the meetings rotate around Sweden.

The NBCNS steering group plan and organize the meetings including inviting international key note speakers. In addition, usually 10-15 submitted abstracts are selected for oral presentations. The selection is made from rating among the abstracts submitted for oral presentation and is based on rating scores. The rating is done on anonymized abstracts by the steering group. The poster session have a central place in the meetings and is also promoted with a session with short 1 min rapid fire poster presentations.
